20250426 I was going to Panera Bread and spotted this little meat market. Decided to check it out. It's a nice little Turkish food market, and their specialty items are the variety of Halal Meat. Their Baklava is delicious! I like the one with walnuts the most. I don't like walnuts but the way they made the walnuts baklava, I don't taste the bitter walnut flavor. The Baklava is sold by the pound. I got 9 pieces. I like their meat selection, and got a tray of the raw prepared ground beef on skewers. It has hot pepper in it. My finicky pup has medical issues and lost her appetite. I have been searching for different food that she will it. She ate this!! So happy! The employees and owner were very nice. They answered all my questions. The owner said that they get their animals in PA, and bring them back to slaughter themselves. Everything is processed here. I got to witness the expert carving up of a skinless lamb. That's interesting. I love that if you want something special done to the meat, like removing the chicken skin from the chicken pieces, they will do it for you. It's great that they provide personalized services, which tells me that customer service is their top priority. I spent $45 on these 2 items. Kind of pricey comparing to the grocery store, but I feel that I'm getting quality food. The best part is that I'm supporting a family owned, small business. The employee mentioned that they have another location in Fairfax, Jermantown Square, on Rt 29 and Jermantown Rd. I need to check out that location for comparison. I will come back to try the other raw prepared meat items.
This butcher/grocery store is an absolute gem! They consistently have the best cuts and marinades, perfectly prepared and ready for grilling—making meal prep incredibly convenient. The quality is top-notch, and the selection of goods from Turkey adds a unique and delightful touch. If you're looking for excellent, top-grade cuts, this place is a must-visit. Ask Eshref for the special chicken chops. Highly recommended!
My go to butcher for the best quality halal meats. It is always so tender and juicy with amazing marbling. Their poultry selection is also very diverse and they have a specially sauced chicken thighs which are to die for. You are also missing out if you haven’t tried their Adana Kebab. Also a great place to shop for Turkish goodies and baklava. You will not regret indulging on a heavenly piece of cold baklava.
Absolutely amazing!
Esref is the best butcher I’ve ever been to. The quality of the meat is always top notch, fresh, and cut perfectly. He’s super friendly and knows exactly what you need, whether it’s for a BBQ, a special recipe, or just a quick dinner. The service is always fast and respectful. There’s really good energy there you feel like you’re in good hands every time. Highly recommend!
If you’re a fan of authentic barbecue and truly care about the quality and flavor of your meat, Amity is a must-visit. I highly recommend trying the Sucuk Köfte, it’s a 10/10. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, it’s one of the best I’ve had. The attention to detail and freshness at Amity make it stand out from other spots. You can really taste the difference.
