3 weeks agoI have now been twice shafted by their 'mince beef'. The meatballs in the picture were cooked in batches in a pan but still wouldn't brown after 15 minutes, and then 40 minutes more in the oven! The texture is like rubber and the inside is still pink like salmon! The taste is like the bottom of a shoe. I don't know what cut this is, or if it is even beef meat but it's been annoying to have twice wasted so much time and effort on cooking only for it to have to go in the bin. This is really not even edible - trust me! Edit: I searched on the internet and it appears that the beef may have been dyed red to make it look more lean when raw. This is illegal in the UK and I will be reporting it to the Food Standards Agency
