Hamle Mediterranean Market

I have been ordering from Hamle market for 6 years, with fedex shipment to my address. The goods were always packed very well and shipping was fast. If there was any issues with any product, they immediately helped and refunded my money. You will not be disappointed and loose money if you shop from Hamle market. I recommend.

A small market tucked away in a small plaza, but full of lots of international goodies. This market had fresh produce as well as loads of dry and refrigerated Eastern European foods. There was a lot of Turkish, Croatian, and Serbian snacks. I was able to pick up a few bags of my favorite Serbian snacks. The crowd of patrons seemed to be very ethnic and I had a good conversation with some people from different parts of Europe. It felt like a good mom and pop shop to revisit.

I ordered several items from Hamle Market, and the experience was terrible. One glass jar arrived broken, and the cheese was already warm and unsafe to eat—I had to throw both away. I emailed customer service, but they completely ignored me. Ordering here feels like gambling—you either get your products intact, or you don’t. Don’t expect any help if something goes wrong. This is not real customer service.

I caught the store before 15 minutes of closing. I didn’t feel welcomed to the store, and I understand they are closing, but they can offer to help or even say Hi. If they automatically offered how they can help I would be in and out of the store quick. Also the parking lot is dark at night I recommend putting up some light.

The baklava (advertised as air mailed from Turkey) and pistachio cookies (Turkish food) I ordered were not only rotten and expired but had also completely lost their shape, indicating poor storage, shipping and handling. Upon contacting customer support to address the issue, I was met with a response that was dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to my frustration. It's disheartening to see a grocery store not standing by its products, especially when it involves food safety. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the overwhelmingly positive reviews online and the quality of service and products I received, raising concerns about the authenticity of those reviews. I will be reporting this matter to the Food Safety Authority to ensure that no other customer has to experience what I went through. It's crucial for potential customers to be aware of these issues. I strongly advise exercising caution and considering other local options where quality and customer respect are priorities
