Best Turkish food in Tennessee! Everything is handmade, and you can watch them. The small restaurant is decorated so beautiful. The food is seasoned perfectly, and all of the meat is tender. We will definitely be going back.
This is hands-down my favorite local Turkish restaurant! The gyros are absolutely delicious—always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. But what truly makes this place special are the owners. They’re kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food.
It breaks my heart to see negative comments that don’t reflect the heart and effort they put into every dish and every customer experience. As someone who supports small, hardworking local businesses, I just want to say: you're doing an amazing job. Thank you for consistently delivering great food and warm hospitality. You’ve got loyal fans right here in Knoxville! 💛🇹🇷
This family owned shop has to be one of Knoxville's best kept secrets! The food is authentic and it transports you right to Turkey! The only thing more delightful than the food is the lovely family and staff who treat you like guests in their home. I would drive the 2 hours to Knoxville just to eat here again!
I was in Knoxville for business, and as someone who is Turkish and grew up in Turkey, I wanted to try some Turkish food while I was in town. This place was the only Turkish restaurant I could find, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered döner with pilav (rice), but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment.
What I was served tasted exactly like the pre-packaged gyro meat you can find at Costco, Trader Joe’s, or other grocery stores. It might have even been frozen döner ordered online from a site like Moda though I doubt it, because even that would’ve tasted better. I noticed the döner machine behind the counter was spotless and unused, which should’ve been a red flag. I didn’t watch the preparation because I wasn’t expecting such poor quality.
Right after I ordered, a woman came in and asked for the same dish. That’s when I heard the microwave beep and everything made sense.
I’ve had Turkish food in many cities across the U.S. New Jersey (the best), Chicago (a close second), San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Orlando, and Los Angeles. This was, by far, the worst Turkish food I’ve ever had.
I had high hopes because of the glowing reviews, but I now realize most locals probably have no idea what authentic döner is, which is why they think this place is great. If there were any real competition in town, it would be clear how far off the mark this place really is.
Best Turkish food in Knoxville and probably even in all of Tennessee! Everything is so fresh, satisfying and flavorful. The Babaghannouj is unlike any other, lightly smoky fresh and vibrant. All the little sides really go well with all the food leaving you nice and fulfilled after eating it together. We will be back for sure, and if you are interested then do yourself a favor and stop in!
Oh and PS the Baklava and other desserts are wonderful too!
