2 weeks agoI visited this store hoping to purchase some of my favorite Turkish products, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The prices are outrageously high, while the quality of the products I purchased was far below what I expected. I purchased a box of Anatolia brand Turkish delight labeled as pomegranate pistachio. To my surprise, the Turkish delight was brown, had an extremely unappealing appearance, and was essentially tasteless. The flavor was so unpleasant that I ultimately had to throw the entire $20 box in the trash. Having recently visited Turkey, where I ate Turkish delight every day, I know what authentic, good-quality pomegranate Turkish delight should look and taste like. It should have a vibrant color and a recognizable pomegranate flavor—not the brown, bland, unpleasant product I received. I have attached photos of the product I purchased, as well as a photo I took in Istanbul for comparison. What made the experience even more frustrating was my interaction with the store manager. When I contacted them about the product, I was told that its appearance and taste were "normal," and they refused to accept it for a refund. I was therefore left with a $20 product that was not enjoyable or, in my opinion, worth consuming. For a store charging premium prices for Turkish products, I expected significantly better quality and customer service. If you're looking for authentic Turkish food with a much wider selection and more reasonable prices, I would recommend checking out Sultan's in North Beach, just a few miles north.
