This is a truly delightful market that I find myself returning to again and again. I often shop here for spices and plant essences, which may not always be of the highest quality, but they are far more abundant and varied here than in any other Asian market I’ve visited, making it a uniquely valuable place to explore and discover new ingredients.
The Indian cashier guy is extremely rude. Not just being rude to anybody, but to elderly people which is a big no for a line of work he's in, always got earbuds on too, how do you still have a job with this kinda attitude.
He should be placed on shelf duty instead of cashier or cleaning duty since the store is dirty too. Read other one-star reviews; it's always about him. This store loses customers for sure.
A&S Market is a great neighborhood spot with a fantastic selection of fresh produce, quality meats, and everyday essentials. The store is well-organized and clean, making it easy to find what you need. Prices are reasonable, and they carry some specialty items you don’t always see in bigger supermarkets. The staff is friendly and quick to help, which makes shopping here a pleasant experience every time. Perfect for quick grocery runs or stocking up for the week.
A neat and tidy compact style Pakistani grocery store that carries Halal beef, veal, lamb and chicken, poultry and fish. Efficient butchers, who cut meat per customer demand and bag them in one lb or more in separate bags.
Other items include spices, salt, grains (whole &grinded to flour), curry mixes, veggies (fresh and frozen), fruits, nuts, frozen items, subcontinental sweet and savory variety, milk and dairy products, different types of breads, snacks, breakfast items, tea of different variety, composition and origins), coffee, chutneys and other condiments, drinks and ice-creams. All employees understand and speak English. Some are fluent in Spanish, Hindi and Urdu (Pakistani national language) and may speak other dialects too.
Merchandise are local items as well as products imported from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Europe and Middle East.
Timings are from 9:30 am to 10 pm.
* Meat department closes one hour early to complete orders in a timely manner.
