Istanbul Fine Foods is a great supermarket in North York, and it honestly feels like stepping into a local market back in Turkey. What really stands out is their in-house bakery. The bakers make fresh lahmacun and somun ekmek that taste just like the ones you’d find at a neighborhood fırın in Turkey. The lahmacun lunch option is around 6 CAD, and it’s extremely delicious, fresh, and great value for money. You can smell the bread and baking as you walk in, which already sets the mood.
Beyond the bakery, the store has a wide selection of Turkish products on the shelves. From dry goods and snacks to staples you usually can’t find easily elsewhere, they carry many authentic items that remind you of home. Everything is well organized, and it’s easy to browse without feeling rushed.
Overall, this is more than just a grocery store. It’s a place where you can do your regular shopping and also enjoy real Turkish flavors made fresh on the spot. If you’re looking for quality Turkish food, authentic bread, and a supermarket that understands Turkish taste, Istanbul Fine Foods is highly recommended.
I had a great experience at Istanbul Fine Foods. The store has a nice variety of products and everything looked fresh and well organized. Buse at the cashier was amazing. She is very friendly, patient, and welcoming. She made the whole checkout experience really pleasant. Great customer service! I’ll definitely come back.
I visited Istanbul Fine Foods today and was really impressed! The store has a great selection of fresh vegetables and groceries. I tried their lahmacun — it was delicious and very reasonably priced. They also bake fresh Turkish bread and even Ramazan pide, which tastes amazing. Everything here is fresh and high quality. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!
The bakery consistently offers fresh bread, I love the hot Turkish style bread and pides they make there, I also love the crispy simit they make which is the istanbul style very common in Turkey and great for breakfast with cheese and butter and also the butcher section is outstanding, with fully halal options. Prices are absolutely reasonable. The staff are welcoming, and there’s a solid range of imported products. Most of the products are imported from Turkey, they are excellent products. For quite a long perios Istanbul Fine Foods have been my most preferred store, I alos like the variety of the products they offer, I’ll definitely continue to visit Istanbul Fine Foods, it is my favorite supermarket.
Really nice grocery store with a great selection. The staff were friendly and the store was well organized. Special thanks to Buse at the cashier, she was very sweet and helpful!
