I have made many briskets in my time. I decided to buy one from solmaz this time. The gentleman was super nice and even trimmed off some of the fat on the outside. Fast forward to today when I am having my company over. I cooked the brisket and it was the worst one ever. The fat in the middle seriously made this $117.00 cut of meat inedible. I am having company over shortly and am at a loss. I do not know where they got their brisket or how it was initially cut but this is a waste of money. There is more fat than meat. I can’t serve this. I think they need to look at their supplier? Or however they cut the brisket. I had a second brisket I got as I am hosting twice and the one I our used from Metro looks fantastic and it was less expensive.

My family purchased $90+ of meat from Solmaz Foods on January 10, 2026. What a big disappointment, as the ground beef was rotten inside. Normally when meat oxidizes, it does so from the exterior, not all of the interior. Sadly, we were given $50+ dollars of spoiled ground beef (partially fresh from the outside and rotten from the inside). We purchased cubed beef, as well. That was okay. Not the freshest meat, but the ground beef was the worst. Buyers be aware of what you get from this meat store. I am not the first customer to complain. Read the other reviews. Sadly, we will no longer shop at a store that isn't honest when dealing with its customers. How would they feel if the tables were turned and we gave them rotten meat? It is utterly disturbing and sad that such a reputable business would sell old meat to customers. Best of luck to the business, but I would never shop here again. See the pictures for yourself.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent purchase from [Solmaz Foods Retail]. I bought a cake on [2025-08=03], and when my wife (who is pregnant) ate it in the car, we discovered it was covered in mold. This is completely unacceptable and a serious food safety risk. Selling expired or moldy products shows a lack of care for your customers’ health. We trust grocery stores to provide safe, fresh food — especially for vulnerable people like pregnant women. I expected much higher standards from your business. I hope this issue is taken seriously to ensure it does not happen to other customers.

Love having this local meat shop just around the corner! I come here all the time to grab sausage and fresh cuts of meat for barbecues. Everything is always super fresh, high quality, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The photo shows the salt good for bbq and salami — I didn’t get a chance to snap a pic of the meat, but I’ll add it next time. Highly recommend!

Oh my goodness this store used be good with reasonably priced cuts of meat and Turkish/ Mediterranean food products but the quality has come down drastically and the prices gone up. Everything packaged by them is stale and old. Buyer beware. Look at the other Google reviews and you can see other people with the same sentiment. We recently bought meat from them and beware the marinated meat is old, when we opened the package we could smell it. The ground beef was also almost all fat, maybe 80/20. This was once our regular shop for fresh meats but we will no longer return. They also sell their own products for the same price as you find in other supermarkets, the salami went up from $3.99 to $5.99 and it’s $5.99 elsewhere. Really sad to see their quality has come down and prices risen.
