While visiting Atlanta, I stopped by Balkal International Food, and I’m so glad I did! Living in Charlotte, it’s hard to find truly fresh international products but this place feels nice.
They seem to have everything you could need, from snacks to pantry staples, and everything looked clean, organized, and inviting. I picked up some sunflower seeds, and they were so fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about quality.
If you’re looking for a store with fresh international foods and a wide variety of products all in one place, Balkal is a must-visit in Atlanta. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town! 🌻🛒
I ordered 2 packs of Mititei sausages, 2 packs of čevapi sausages, 3 packs of Lepina bread, and 2 jars of Mama's Ajvar. The box came just now. Wow. The packing is immaculate. Even after a couple days in the box, the Styrofoam ice chest was icy cold inside with plenty of frozen ice packs. The meats were in perfect condition as were the breads and the glass jars of ajvar (which were outside the ice chest in the box as they should be). So much care was given to the packaging. It is among the best I have seen for companies that ship perishable foods. The extra 9.00 and change you pay as a "perishable fee" is totally worth it. No worry, no stress about food arriving hot in spring or summer weather. This is the second time I have ordered from this company and last time, my order was all wrapped and packaged just like today's shipment. Easy 5 Stars for packing and quick service, and 5 Stars for the delicious Balkan foods which are not always easy to find here in central Florida. Thanks again for a wonderful shopping experience and customer service! Oh, and thanks for the little extra gift of a chocolate bar. That was very thoughtful.
A great variety of groceries that you do not find at normal stores. Incredible pastries and bread. Super nice staff and very friendly owner. I highly recommend this if you're looking for Turkish Middle Eastern and Russian groceries.

This is a great, small convenient store with a lot of Eastern European goodies. They seem to be a bit cheaper than the Buford Hwy Farmers market which I appreciate! I found organic bullion there which is exactly what I was looking for!
