While visiting Atlanta, I stopped by Balkal International Food, and I’m so glad I did! Living in Charlotte, it’s hard to find truly fresh international products but this place feels nice.
They seem to have everything you could need, from snacks to pantry staples, and everything looked clean, organized, and inviting. I picked up some sunflower seeds, and they were so fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about quality.
If you’re looking for a store with fresh international foods and a wide variety of products all in one place, Balkal is a must-visit in Atlanta. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town! 🌻🛒

I was sceptical at first, but my family has been asking for mamalyga or romanian corn bread for weeks and new jersey local European food stores stopped selling romanian corn flour. So with the Google search i found this place and within 3 business days had four packs of corn flour delivered to my house. Perfectly packed and fresh. My family is happy and I will definitely be buying again from this place. Thank you for sending me my order quickly.
This is a great, small convenient store with a lot of Eastern European goodies. They seem to be a bit cheaper than the Buford Hwy Farmers market which I appreciate! I found organic bullion there which is exactly what I was looking for!
A great variety of groceries that you do not find at normal stores. Incredible pastries and bread. Super nice staff and very friendly owner. I highly recommend this if you're looking for Turkish Middle Eastern and Russian groceries.
